Sorry, the tut is including in the package and written in Chinese.
I don't have time to try with the tut and can't translated Chinese exactly.
May someone can rebuild the tut in clear words.

This is the way every tutorial has been from the developer, so we just have to get used to it & figure it out. Most of reactPSN users have figured out how to use reactPSN from the first version , so i am sure it will be figured out again in no time..

Glad to see more support on this .

I took the time to do better translation (although it isn't 100% literal)... the one in the news post is still hard to understand.

      http://aldostools.org/temp/reActPSN_2.24.txt

Basically you create up to 9 containers (they are like CaptainCPS-X's placeholder, but using a renamed rap for Contra Shattered as the base activation). Then you copy the ISOs to your USB drive (/reActPSN/ISOPS2) and reActPSN encrypts them into each container directly on the PS3.

Still prefer to do it the old way and run multiple games from xmb.
Why would you need to convert to ENC on ps3

Just confirm me, and I will cease to distribute the PS2 Classics GUI, destroy the source that I made and forget about it.

Indeed I don't need it... I play my PS2 games on my PS2 slim :P

By the way.... I didn't touch your code. I just call the executable...

Whilst i partly agree with you, i also agree with [MENTION=269188]u$er[/MENTION], if his code is being used and the term states that the source must be provided, then whoever uses that should respect his wishes.

I just included the current source code available at gitorious.ps3dev.net/ps2classic

Also added a copy of the GPLv3.0 and a readme indicating the home of the src.

Here is the updated file including the source code:

The source code of my tools are not public (as usual)... However if you need it, I can provide you a private copy.

Because what this does it probably easier, as all you need to do is put your ISO.BINs or ISOs (decrypted) on the usb and it'll do both the encrypting and placing them on your PS3 properly. That's what I understood. Why not try it?

Bit OT, but would you mind sharing those boot logos/sounds here?

I'm sure someone suggested the idea in one of the ps2 threads but don't think it's happened and 41 is a good start?

Ive only just started with the sounds, but they are easy to make. I simply download the audio from a youtube vid then convert it.
Heres a few, i could also do some on request they take 2 mins.

      Crash Bandicoot Original Theme: SND0.AT3
Crash Bandicoot: Wrath of Cortex: SND0.AT3
      Final Fantasy 10: SND0.AT3
      Final Fantasy 12: SND0.AT3

im currently making a new set of boot logos, using the templates someone posted: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/31400110/PS.../Templates.zip
so they match the psn version logos.

but you can simply google search the images:
      Boot logo: 320x176
      Background: 1920x1080

      AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can we please get a rudimentary GUI for reactPSN in later updates showing what is currently activated, and a list of raps to install? Like a backup manager but for .rap files.

Love this program and a GUI would make it perfect!!!

If I update this, from 2.3, do i install ps3 psn games the same way as it always been? Meaning, create that aa profile and just use that one to run reactpsn to authorize the rap files, then install the game .pkg's from my profile.

Has anyone actually been able to get this to work? If so, could you tell me what steps you took to do so? Everything seems to work fine until I get to the third step where I put my Ps2 iso in the reactpsn/isops2 directory, start ReactPsn on the XMB then hold x for 6 seconds. My ps3 always just freezes and I have to turn it off. Any thoughts on what I am doing wrong?

I must be doing something wrong. Each time i launch the slot, the xmb fades out, screen goes dark, then it starts reading the blueray drive, hdd light flashes and then the console turns "off". Meaning that there is no signal to the tv but the green power light, bluray light are still on. It still tries to read the disc in the drive and the hdd light flashes while trying to read the drive. I have no clue what I am doing wrong. I'm on rebug 4.21.2 cex/dex. I had the same problem using the PS2 classic place holder. Any ideas would be great. Does the console need to be BC? (sorry for the newbish question. just making sure that this is not the case)

no you dont need a BC ps3, as sony added their own ps2 emu to the firmware.
Sounds like you have the "no signal bug" which a fair few people have had - cause is unknown.
Deleting the xregistry file worked for me and restoring system defaults.

You have nothing to lose tho by updating to 4.30.2 rebug, worth a try.

SO, i need to delete the xregistry file. Am i restoring system defaults through xmb or via recovery mode? and is this the xregistry in the /dev_flash2/etc folder?

      **Edit**
So i have done the xreg delete and system restore and I still have the same issue. Would this be a problem if my PS3 does not play DVD's? I know it sounds weird but DVD's and CD's don't work. ONLY bluray works on my PS3. It is a 40gig cecgh001. let me know your thoughts.

OK....Here's an update. I flashed Rebug 4.30.1 and did the reg delete and rebuilt the system data. Now here's the twist. I load a PS2 Classic from PSN, and the system acts like the game is going to start. The hdd light flashes like it's loading, usb drive shuts off, controller shuts off, bluray drive reads, hdd light flashes then stops, controller turns back on and the fan speeds up like when the system is overheating, then the tv reads "No Signal". I am literally at my wits end. I have no way of playing ps2 games other than computer as the laser on my ps2 is dead and the read times are too slow to run games via usb. Any thoughts on how to proceed? I believe that I have done everything to the letter and still no positive results.

OK.......I got a psn title to work. Here's what I did. I'm on Rebug 4.30.2 now. I unpacked the 4.30.2 update.pup with pupx_dev_flash. I went into the dev_flash folder where the emulators are located. I started up Filezilla and ftp'd to the rebug_dev flash folder. I then copied the ps2 emu files to the rebug_dev flash/ps2 emu folder. i went back to the xmb and loaded a PSN PS2 classic. The machine cut off then behold, gta vice city began to load. I tried this on one that I converted and it went back to the "no signal" error. At least this is some progress. As I find out more, I will post.

If you have the placeholder and the ps2 classics manager installed, the only thing you need to do is run the reactpsn 2.24 pkg just like you did with version 2.23. follow those directions up until you run reactpsn. make sure you switch to the other user account and not use your own. when you run the program, hold X for 6 seconds. once it's finished, it will not reset your ps3 like v2.23. it will exit to the XMB. switch back to your user account. run ps2 classics manager. activate your game then click on the placeholder to run it. it works for me that way.
