Hi guys, after a week and a half of work I present the plugin manager v 1.00 for CFW cex

This homebrew has as a basis the “CFW Setup”, developed by ps3ita team for their CFW cobra 4.50 DEx, but have completely different functions.

As you could see from the picture you have 5 options:

    1) installs and activates *Webman v 1.29.3
    2) installs and activates habibplugin. sprx
    3) creates the file boot_plugins.txt (without written plugins directory)
    4) Deletes all plugins in the console and leaves empty boot_plugins.txt file
    5) Save from homebrew and exits.

    * = for active means that the path of the plugin will be written to the file boot_plugins.txt.

For users who are poorly informed, by pressing the start key on one of the options, you can see a detailed explanation of the selected option.
    Changelog:

Automatic acquisition of the language set in the console (send now only Italian and English, are already at work for French and Spanish).
Possibility to install/uninstall webma and habibplugin.
    Self-creation dle boot_plugins.txt file.
When you install a plugin via this homebrew plugin path is written to the boot_plugins.txt file.

Developer nevik has updated his his OSX PS3 Tools to version 4, here is a quote from his thread:

This is a collection of tools for use with the files from the Ps3 and it’s games.

This contains many tools, none of which I developed! I simply collected them and put a GUI to them to make it easier to use for those of us running OsX. This has been tested on 10.8-10.9.3

Tools found in this collection are: Scetool, FailOverFl0w’s tools, Reself, Make_npdata, ps2classic, ps3isotool, fixEBOOT and a few more.
So thanks to all who contributed time in developing these tools including but not limited to: flatz , IngPereira , LoOzers, aldostools , baargle , fail0verfl0w, Graf _chokolo, MAGiC333X, naehrwert.

This will help you decrypt and encrypt files, unpkg .pkg’s, explore firmwares, create .pkg files and manage your games and a few more things.

Make sure to click the Read_Me button first to install the necessary files to make the tool run correctly. It will also help you install the keys and all the proper files i.e.: /exdata, act.dat, idps… to ensure that everything runs correctly.

Once again thanks to all who have contributed to the scene and I hope that this will help a few people out who run OsX!

    Enjoy!

GameSonic Manager has been updated bringing support for the recent 3.55 (and  upcoming 4.55) NoBD/CFWs. Retro Installer also got an update, bringing just a small optimization.

Following the magnificent work of our friends openmodding.net with the release of the CFW 3:55 Ferrox NO BD, I decided to update gamesonic manager to provide all users who want to keep this CFW, or the future 4:55 Ferrox NO BD on console without reader, the Possibility to start the games with the highest compatibity without reader.

    Changelog v2.94:

    • Submissions discless file for CFW :3.55-4 .50.
    • Fixed small bug with the Mamba payload, caused by an incorrect reading of the file “libfs_patched.sprx.”

Before anyone asks me, I have not included the files for the discless for CFW CFW 4.46-4.53-4.55 intentionally because they have access to the payload mamba that already do a great job.

Thanks to the guys openmodding, especially to the developer for these magnificent alexander CFW.

zecoxao who ported the NoBD patch recently, has been working with sguerrini97  to release NoBD for 4.5x CFW. For those wanting to update/use this, you must wait for a developer PUP (firmware) to integerate these new patches and be released … so stay tuned!

The latest version of Showtime is out, bringing support for subscriptions and pagination. In addition, this latest release also includes the integration of Duktape (mainly for devs).

httpclient: Rework Location header escape handling
    ecmascript: Improve prop support:
    * Add support for subscriptions
    * Add support for pagination
httpclient: Escape improperly encoded redirect URLs
linux: Extract distribution from lsb_release and store in gconf.os_info
linux: Log more info about current system
ecmascript: Make it possible to get an array of all registered ecmascript contexts
    upgrade duktape to v0.10.0-328-g41366e7
First version of a Duktape integration [4.7.36]

Duktape is a EcmaScript (JavaScript) engine that I hope will replace Spidermonkey eventually.
So far much of the Showtime APIs are lacking when plugins run in this engine.

The PSP holds a special place in many of our hearts, any was also the first true (for most) experience of modding, and customization that we always wished to receive on the PS3. Sony has announced that the PSP will be discontinued  worldwide by the end of 2014. The PSP life cycle ran just shy of 10 years, and the latest stats report it has sold ~80 million units.

What were your guys fondest/best memories related to the PSP?

Yesterday one of the most well known games in the world, turned 30 years old, for those of you who have been living in a cave, here is some information about Tetris:

    History

Tetris (Russian: Те́трис, pronounced [ˈtɛtrʲɪs]) is a Soviet tile-matching puzzle video game originally designed and programmed by Alexey Pajitnov. It was released on June 6, 1984, while he was working for the Dorodnicyn Computing Centre of the Academy of Science of the USSR in Moscow.
He derived its name from the Greek numerical prefix tetra- (all of the game’s pieces contain four segments) and tennis, Pajitnov’s favorite sport.

It is also the first entertainment software to be exported from the USSR to the US and published by Spectrum HoloByte for Commodore 64 and IBM PC. The Tetris game is a popular use of tetrominoes, the four-element special case of polyominoes. Polyominoes have been used in popular puzzles since at least 1907, and the name was given by the mathematician Solomon W. Golomb in 1953. However, even the enumeration of pentominoes is dated to antiquity.

The game (or one of its many variants) is available for nearly every video game console and computer operating system, as well as on devices such as graphing calculators, mobile phones, portable media players, PDAs, Network music players and even as an Easter egg on non-media products like oscilloscopes. It has even inspired Tetris serving dishes and been played on the sides of various buildings.

While versions of Tetris were sold for a range of 1980s home computer platforms as well as the arcades, it was the hugely successful handheld version for the Game Boy launched in 1989 that established the game as one of the most popular ever. Electronic Gaming Monthly’s 100th issue had Tetris in first place as “Greatest Game of All Time”. In 2007, Tetris came in second place in IGN’s “100 Greatest Video Games of All Time”. In January 2010, it was announced that Tetris had sold more than 170 million copies, approximately 70 million physical copies and over 100 million copies for cell phones, making it the highest paid-downloaded game of all time.

You can read more history, including all the legal disputes and drama here.

    Theme Tune

The most popular theme Tetris theme tune is this one:

It is a faster version of a popular Russian folk song Korobushka:

Primetime00 has released his app known as CCCHeat, which is a CCAPI Memory Manipulator (similar to NetCheat). This app allows you to read/write to PS3 memory.

For the past several weeks, I’ve been working on a hobby project that uses CCAPI 2.0 (maybe 2.5) on the PS3 to read/write memory. My program is called CCCheat. It works a little like Dnawrkshp’s NetCheat.

Here are some of the key features for the first release:

    • Does not require .NET
    • Address range and searching are generally faster
    • Search by value (1-4 bytes and floating point)
    • Fuzzy search (heath bars, etc)
    • Search over multiple memory ranges.
    • Self-refreshing codetable
    • Save/Load codetable
    • Viewable table of values near a certain code (helpful for finding other codes)

I’ve tested this on my PS3 with CCAPI 2.0, but much of the development was tested on a CCAPI server emulator, so I’m not 100% sure how the compatibility will be.

Anyway, please let me know of bugs/etc that you might find. I have compiled both Windows and Linux versions as well as source here (above). I will try to work on documentation when I can!

    Version 1.01 Changelog:

    • Updated to work with CCAPI 2.50 now (This release adds support for CCAPI version 2.50)

    Thank you

Unfortunately the garbage site this was released on likes to block out and make it impossible to download anything, so if anyone can provide a mirror and PM it to me, I will update it here where people can actually use it.
