Is this hex already patched for backup manager or not ?
Anyway I explain you the 40Kb/16Kb question:
Intel Hex file (the standard format), is not a binary file. It is an ASCII file that contains addresses, checksums, eeprom locations, and data (hex format);
For example this line from a hex file:
:100050000C94C30D0C94C30D0C94C30D0C94C30DE0<CrLf>
Is made of 45 bytes, but it only contains 16 bytes of Flash data.
i can definatly confirm this works had a blackcat sat in me draw for over 2 years followed the tute and used the files suplied.
as for backup manager i booted to main screen after the power eject method, then inserted a cd in my drive containing backup manager, selected to load the files and backup manager installed instantantly
ive never done this before total newbie so shouldnt be to hard for you lot,
