i did it and bypassed it after playing mw2 for a while i went to black ops and it signed out and wont let me back on can anyone help plzzzzzzzz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

wow this patch blocker worked the first time blocking the 1.16 patch update that causes mlb 11 the show to freeze at 65% complete. at first it seemed to stop at 65% again and i got irritated and went into the kitchen and just left it at 65%. i came back around 20 minutes later and it was at 100% installed and waiting for me to complete the install. so what you have to do is start this patch blocker right before you put the game in. leave your ps3 connected to the internet and when the screen comes up that you must download the patch don't press X, press O to cancel, and it will jump right to the game data install, and just let it do its thing. it will seem to freeze up at 65% again but it will get through to 100% it only took mine 10-15minutes after not being able to install at all. this was done on a 4.11 320gb ps3. make sure you enter in your ps3s gateway address into the patch blocker because the blocker popped up with a gateway IP that was only 1 digit off numerically. if this happens not to work for you go and delete all the saved game data and the ps3 save data folder files of this game, any mlb 11 the show demos too. then after doing that activate the ps3 safe mode and choose option 3, restore file system. when it says the file system is corrupt and it will begin to restore it, choose ok, and it will restart and attempt the patch blocking procedure again. this works so i doubt you will have to try it more than once. if i can do it the first try, anyone can. right on ellis mossy this app is #BASEDSWAG #TeamSheikie |

one thing i dont think i mentioned is that i ran this app from my laptop. i unzipped this file to a folder on my computer that i named "PS3" with the actual destination folder being named "SAVE DATA". i then opened opened it with WIN.rar and highlighted the application file named 'patchblocker.exe" and hit the "wizard" button on the upper tool bar in WIN.rar. accept the OK for everything it wants until it unzips and opens the destination folder. you will now see the "patchblocker.exe' as an unzipped .exe file. click on it and it will open a minimized style window with an address bar to put your ps3 gateway IP and keep the 8080 port setting it opens with. thats all you have to do. its easier than wiping your hiney. |
