Anybody want to speculate who developed true blue..

I remember reading it surfaced in Indonesia at markets and mod stores but is that the truth? Are infamous developers we read about every day behind it?

In a way I don't blame them for trying to make a few quid out of it.. Look at the greed and ungratefulness of the scene.. They are taking a big risk with Sony.. Its just not worth the risk unless your getting something more than browney points and bragging rights out of it.

I fully believe people are running homebrew right now on ofw3,73.. possibly 4.0 by signing software. They know how to get their per console keys and have full jailbreaks. They came up with a way to keep sony happy by keeping everybody on 3.55, off the network while making a few pound.

I don't agree but I understand.. Our best hope is old skool developers who don't agree with what they are dong any crack their dongle

Indonesia was the testing ground, but these developers have either European or North American descent.

I only ever went on that site the few days that hax was down for me.. I like the technical section because its genuine discussion without any trolling but that's about it..

GaryOPA isn't behind it, but he is getting a huge back hander/bribe for promoting the crap out of the device, he knows who the people behind it are.

They fully support Team executor and 360 key anyway and im sure they make a few quid out of it.. I don't really have any problems with either company's because they make quality hardware and they are very useful mods.. I soldered my own JTAG and made up my own lpt cable for less than €5 but I have always liked the executor stuff..

Do you think he "He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named" has anything to do with it?

Cobra and True Blue are so similar when you look at them from a reversing perspective that they have to be the same people.

Why two competing dongles then? Because they've already sold all the cobras they are going to sell... you see that with the price drops. (Well, I take that back... I know they sold a few this week once psx-scene shelled out some dough.) and ---- running 3.60+ games on 3.55 is so valuable that it would sell an additional dongle.

Think I'm wrong? OK. Look for "innovation" to stop in a few months with True Blue and there to be a 4.00+ drought for a while... then a shining knight will come along and offer to sell you a NEW different dongle.

Have we got any further ideas on who the " people " are behind this yet?

Guys I recently got back into the scene. It's been a couple of years and it's not the same as it was. People are profiting off of this and I understand work isn't free yet they are going the wrong way. I donate all the time, but to profit off of something like this? U gotta be @#$R@# kidding me!

I just looked at prices 60$-80$ something dollars for "true blue"! Now I look at this new one. "JB King" which had a update of v2.5 over true blue's v2.4(correct me if I'm wrong) and it's a totally different dongle!! If I had "trueB" that's about 120$ HALF THE COST OF MY CONSOLE!

We have people being suckered into this now or have the money not to care. SONY should already have stepped into this, but it makes me wonder. Geohot did this to crack it not to profit.
