    Estwald has updated the awesome Iris Manager, adding Miralatijera CFW support.

    New for Version 2.21:

    Miralatijera adds payload for 4.30 DEX
    Modified the patched explore_plugin tool to show the BR disk icon and the word “game” in the XMB instead of “/app_home/PS3_GAME” (from a functional point of view should not change anything: it is only to distinguish when used one way or another)

    What is Iris Manager?

    IrisManager is a port of HermesManager based on PSLIGHT, Tiny3D, PS3Soundlib and OpenPS3FTP, is a completly legal open code manager Made with Homebrew tools.

    Supports the custom firmware:

    3.41 (Hermes)
    3.55 (Kmeaw)
    4.21 & 4.30 CEX (with LV1 access, like Rogero or Rebug)
    4.31 CFW
    4.21 DEX
    4.30 DEX

    This firmware is compatible with real debug/test units and CEX2DEX converts.
    Here is a quote from the release thread translated via google:

    deleted lv1ldr protection against consoles converted “unofficially”
    lv2 peek / poke
    lv1 peek / poke
    Integrated and Iris Payload Manager 2.21 (see section scene)
    spu_iso_rvk_pkg reinstall cfw patched for successful
    spu_token_processor (qa flag activated if you had installed since 3.55) – <morning launched an app to activate these little things directly in 4.30 dex

    I add more things tomorrow, for now is basic but is a cfw xD

    RazorX has updated his CFW Eboot/PKG resigner app today. This app basically fixes those eboots that worked on 3.55/3.41 but not on 4.x CFW.

    To quote:

    Hey guys i got a very simple very noob proof app for you i’ve put together, very simply all you do is put an EBOOT.BIN or PKG into the same folder as the app then launch it and you can select from:

    • Main Menu:
    • Eboot Menu
    • Package Menu
    • Eboot Menu
    • CFW 3.40 EBOOT
    • CFW 3.55 EBOOT
    • CFW 3.60 EBOOT
    • CFW 4.20 EBOOT
    • CFW 4.30 EBOOT
    • Package Menu:
    • Unpack PKG
    • Repack PKG
    • Create PKG
    • ContentID
    • PKG Type:
    • Games/Homebrew
    • Game Data
    • PS1 Game
    • Minis

    Then the app will do the rest very simple very easy very fast and an all-in-one application.

    Enjoy

    UPDATE 9:
    removed some uneeded code and cleaned up some others.
    tidied up some of the info screens to make them more clear and easy to understand.
    removed timeouts to speed up the process.
    fixed issue with exiting app after unpacking pkg, resigning eboot then repacking pkg.
    fixed exiting app not removing some of the files.

    What is FB Alpha Retro Loader ?

    FB Alpha RL is a PS3 homebrew application coded from scratch,
    and not based in any other public source code by other
    developers. It is a result of many hours of dedication
    and research.

    It is in no way a dirty hack of RetroArch or something
    similar. By the contrary, FB Alpha RL serves as a independent
    frontend to RetroArch and provides features not incorporated
    in it.

    I did had to make a modified RetroArch core to be included
    along my application, so it could process the arguments
    or new commands that FB Alpha RL will be sending to it.

    Objective of FB Alpha RL (Retro Loader):

    As a dev from the official FB Alpha Team,
    FB Alpha RL was made with a objective in mind, to
    keep the original experience from the official
    FB Alpha (for Windows OS) on the PS3 system.

    Please, read the technical info for more details.

    Technical Info:

    Signed for CFW 3.40 / 4.XX (should work for everyone).
    Tested @ 1080p / 720p / 480p resolution via HDMI.

    FB Alpha RL uses a custom “burn_drivers.h” header file
    that was generated by modifying the official windows
    version of FB Alpha with a routine to generate such
    file on launch.

    The header have a big structure with all the information
    for all supported drivers in FB Alpha v0.2.97.28.
    Information such as:

    - Romset Name (Ex. kof2002)
    - Parent ROM (Ex. sf2)
    - Year
    - Manufacturer (Ex. Capcom)
    - System (Ex. Neo Geo)
    - Max players
    - Game Screen Resolution
    - Game Screen Aspect Ratio

    Future release will have a custom generated header with
    all the ROM information as well, so the application will
    be able to verify every romset with precise CRC32 checks
    (as in the official FB Alpha for Windows).

    NOTE: You don’t need the official RetroArch installed,
    this already has my own modified build incorporated
    into FB Alpha RL installation directory. So you can safely
    install the official RetroArch and it won’t interfere.

    Thanks to anyone else I forgot that in some way contributed
    to the PS3 scene and as a result I was able to do this
    homebrew application.

    Known Issues (updated):

    fixed – Directory / CFG file browser doesn’t list other devices, just “dev_hdd0″, you can configure paths manually on the FBA_RL.ini for other devices until this is fixed.

    fixed – ROM rescan (pressing START on the game list) is not working fine.

    - ROM INFO was not implemented in this beta release, this is NOT a issue, but I forgot to mention it, so just in case xD.

    UPDATE 1: In this current release missing games cannot be hidden, I will work on that soon, my bad. I will release a small update later with these known issues resolved.

    UPDATE 2: Good news! USB Storage Devices are correctly scanned now, and I fixed the problem with the ROMs rescanning via START button. I just have to add a feature / option to disable the display of missing ROMs. This will be available as a small update patch later (v1.01a)

    - Fixed USB Storage Device scanning, now they will be
    displayed correctly on the Directory / CFG file browser.
    - Fixed issue with ROMs rescan, now it will work
    fine by pressing START button on the Game List.

    Still stuck on 3.55 MFW and want to update to the latest MFW, check this video tutorial:

  • Posted by GregoryRasputin , on 12/02/2013 , @ 05:48pm

    For those of you using multiMAN on the likes of 3.55 Kmeaw, you will either have to update your MFW or be stuck with an outdated multiMAN, as it seems the developer doesn’t think you are important enough to keep multiMAN updated for your firmware, here is a quote from the source:

    With multiMAN 05.00.00 only 4.30 and higher firmwares will be supported. Supporting 14 different firmwares is too hard to maintain compatibility with.

    These will no longer be supported:

    3.41 OFW
    3.41 OFW + DONGLE
    3.41 MFW (HERMES)
    3.55 OFW
    3.55 CFW KMEAW
    3.55 CFW COBRA
    3.55 CFW TB
    3.55 CFW REBUG/ROGERO
    3.55 OFW DEX
    3.55 CFW DEX
    4.21 OFW DEX
    4.21 CFW REBUG
    4.21 CFW ROGERO 1.00..2.03

    These and later will be supported:

    4.30 CFW ROGERO 2.05..
    4.30 CFW REBUG
    4.31 CFW

    In the beginning mM used to support 1.90/3.00/3.14/3.21 firmwares but then suddenly the new additions started to cause issues with these old firmwares so I leveled up at 3.41. Now 2 years and 6 months later I think it is time to go up again.

    Users of unsupported firmwares can stay with 04.19.00 or lower multiMAN version – anyway – it has more than everything one may need. Or switch to Iris.

    Source = Crunch

    Thanks to Nicolas19 for posting the news.

    Developer aldostools has released a few nice tools and updates to his handy apps. The new tools are PS3 ConsoleID, Rap Management Tools and lastGAME Customizer 1.0. He has also released the new PS3 Tools Collection 2.0.62 recently. If you have any questions, just ask in the forums for help.

    PS3 ConsoleID

    This tool displays the PSID and the ConsoleID from a LV2 dump created using multiMAN’s mmOS or Rebug’s Toolbox.

    How to use:
    Make a dump of your LV2 and drap & drop the LV2 dump on the tool’s window. It will show the PSID, ConsoleID and Target ID found in the LV2.

    You can drag & drop a dump of your flash too, but it only gets the ConsoleID.

    Rap Management Tools

    Keep your “rap” files collection clean with “remove bad files from exdata.bat” (a batch file that will remove the invalid “rap” files from your “exdata” folder) and delete_dups (a tool that will compare your rap files with the ones stored in another folder; deleting the duplicated files). Use them in conjunction with PS3 Game Integrity and PKG ContentID to keep your collection of raps organized.

    TIP: My PS3 Keys tool can be used to create rap files, just entering the file name and pasting the 32 HEX digits.

    lastGAME Customizer 1.0

    This new tool takes advantage of the customization options that multiMAN’s lastGAME applet offers, allowing to create PKG files that mount games and AVCHD movies directly from the XMB, without having to launch multiMAN’s GUI (btw lastGAME = multiMAN without GUI).

    Features:

    • Current version supports lastGAME 4.1 (loads Hermes payload for firmwares 3.41, 3.55, 4.21, 4.30)
    • Allows to connect to PS3 via FTP to retrieve the list of games installed on HDD or on external devices
    • Supports drag & drop of multiple folders (x:GAMES) to create multiple PKGs instantly
    • Supports command line interface (CLI)
    • Allows to mount ISOs (PS2, PSP, PSX, DVD, BDM) and load remote backups (Cobra dongle is required)
    • Support direct boot (certain games only). Games that require BD mirror are not supported.

    NOTE: Support for PSX ISO and 4.31 CFW (MiralaTijera) are not implemented yet on lastGAME 4.1

    Special thanks to Dean Kasabow ;)

    IMPORTANT: 4.31 ps1_emu not be used. Using 4.30 or less. I have to look at how viable is doing via syscall emulation (the biggest problem, to house the code, which is a lot and used to all versions)

    - Fixed some minor bugs in the previous version.

    Unban yourself? kwl.

    Thanks to @OKR2012

    Following up on his previous revision, Thiss weekend PlayStation 3 homebrew developer deneo24 of NGU has once again updated PS_Unban v0.2.1 with a new PS3 console ID for 3.55 / 4.21 / 4.30 CFW users.

    Hello, I’m giving out a fixed version of PS_Unban I made for you guys I decided to give it out because when the more people are using the same Console ID the better, because there is less chance of your account being banned since they only take one account with it when they ban the ID. Have fun with it while it lasts! Thread WILL be updated with a new one as soon as this ones patched!

    For some, the app zooms in heaps and you cannot see the full writing, so here are the controls:

    Press X If you’re on 4.21
    Press START if you’re on 3.55
    Press SQUARE If you’re on 4.30

    THIS DOES NOT WORK ON 4.31 CFW. When this one gets banned, DON’T LOSE HOPE! I HAVE MORE DO NOT USE HOMEBREW WHILST SIGNED IN, NO MATTER WHAT. DO NOT DO IT.

    I changed the name of the program etc. for the fun of it but probably shouldn’t have since really I should have left it as it was, since I didn’t create the app itself, just made it work again, so that shall be fixed next upload.

    When this one gets banned I will try and make another one. If some people can donate some WORKING Console ID’s so I can make more of these apps, then you will be credited and more will be released! If you want a private build, it will be free but you must provide the Console ID.

    Full Credits to Nullbyte (0×00) For making the homebrew app. I’d just like to emphasize that this would not have been possible without Nullbyte. And credits to Insight’s Bish for confirming it works.Download link: PS_Unban for 3.55 CFW / PS_Unban for 4.21/ 4.30 CFW

    CaptainCPS-X has updated his homebrew application gamePKG to version 1.01A , here is a quote from his post:

    I don’t like to be releasing stuff this quick, but its an important update.

    Btw, just for the record, I tested this on Rogero CFW 4.30 v2.05 and its working fine as well.

    Repository updated:

    https://github.com/CaptainCPS/gamePK…b788f1d583a207

    1.1A (20130109)

    - Re-wrote device and directory scanning code, now it is case-sensitive
    - The following directories are valid for PKG file storage:
    * /dev_*/
    * /dev_*/pkg
    * /dev_*/package
    * /dev_*/packages
    * /dev_*/PKG
    * /dev_*/PACKAGE
    * /dev_*/PACKAGES
    * /dev_*/Pkg
    * /dev_*/Package
    * /dev_*/Packages

    Note: You can have all those directories at same time, with different PKG files,
    and they will be properly scanned, not even multiMAN have this implemented , LOL.
