PS3 Firmware 2.76
 

Sony rolled out with another firmware today. From the official blog:

This is a minor update that improves the playback quality of some PS3 format software.

I've noticed it's out.
But does it block usb loader and swap magic? I wanna know if it's safe for me to install... :)

Thanks for that, Pirate :) Was waiting to know this, as I was a bit susupicious on this update, due to the timing and the fact it's another "useless" update :)

It does not block USB loader and Swap Magic... to do this, they would have to block the ability to play PS2 Games.. and that would be a little stupid to do :)

I'm not updating to see if Windows one isn't blocked, just to be safe.

It's the same source... it won't be blocked
It's just going to be compiled for Windows

hasn't there been any discorvery of what this updates does exactly ? Some software enhancements ... that is really not specific :)

Sony can't block this so your good to go.

I've been reading on the PS3 forums at Sony that there's alot of problems with this update... is anyone else noticing any quirks or glitches with it?
