XCM Vbox2 Advanced (Notebook VGA box)
I remember reading a couple of threads, asking if it was possible to play the PS3 on a laptop, whilst yes it was possible, the quality would have been rubbish, XCM have brought out a USB 2 device for, PS3/Xbox 360, Wii etc, that enables high quality play back on a laptop/notebook monitor, beware though, that it wont give you HD resolutions.
Details: Fully Compatible with Xbox 360?, Wii?, PS3?/PS2?, PSP 2000/3000 series?, Xbox? GameCube? or any device with component output. You can record gameplay, movie or take a screenshot of the gameplay to the hard drive so you can edit, use it as a wallpaper or record your gameplay for analysis.http://www.xcm.cc/Vbox2%20Advanced-1.jpg http://www.xcm.cc/Vbox2%20Advanced-2.jpg http://www.xcm.cc/Vbox2%20Advanced-3.jpg http://www.xcm.cc/Vbox2%20Advanced-4.jpg Places to buy: US/Canada: http://www.totalconsole.com/servlet/...DVANCED/Detail Asia: http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-...d-70-3syd.html UK/Europe: http://www.renchi.com/renchi/Other_G...vanced_XCM.htm |
It's good, but it's not really HD. From the maxconsole review you can see that it doesn't support neither 1080p, nor 720p... Just 576p. So, unless is much cheaper than existing actual HD solutions (which costs around 200-250€, i think), it doesn't worth.

This would be ideal for me i reckon, i hope its sold at amazon in the UK :D without a high pricetag. ^_^
|
For 65€ i think it's fair offer. ;)
|
gliitch i added locations to buy, not quite sure the price is justified.
|
Ahh i didnt see the links.
id probably use it all the time to be fair, beats having to use a tube tellie anyways XD. Sounds like a justifiable price although, 35-40 would suit me better. Although it doesnt have linux support though. :( well, i shall see for when the time comes. ive waiting for something like this for a while now. :D |
This is hardly new...component tuners have been around for years. The only reason people never recommend them is the fact that they are low-resolution and analogue, with a maximum resolution of 1080i. On top of that, this tuner isn't even a good component tuner, as it has no 1080i support.
If it is made REALLY well, then it might be worth $90...maybe...but you can certainly do better in terms of picture quality by going with something else. |
