PS2 Homebrew running on PS3!
 

Pretty cool discovery that popped up today, digimonster3, has found a way to run PS2 homebew on the PS3 by using the EUR PS2 Demo disc that came with the EUR PS2 at launch. This has been confirmed to be working on firmware 1.8-1.92 PAL. Watch the video below for full explanation about this and visit here to see more videos of PS2 homebrew running on PS3. This is NOT a exploit of any kind, just pure homebrew.

any new discovery is good news.
I first hear about this here in the homebrew section in August
While it wont lead to anything major (actually it won't lead to anything at all).
There is nothing wrong with it.

Its homebrew - the way sony wanted it back in the ps2 days.

Sony has always allowed homebrew on their consoles.
ps2=yabasic and ps2 linux
ps3 = linux
ps1 = netyaroze.

Sony has always done a fairly good job on console security as well (maybe not handled but base machines have always been fairly well secured).
They always get broken but this is natural.

please read the thread BEFORE u post next time sir.
this is loading from the original FREE DEMO DISC u got with ur big bulky black PS2, it IS homebrew, but it is Sony aided homebrew.
