PSJB Backup Manager v1.1 Released
 

We have been reporting for the last few days about the PSJailbreak.com backup manager v1.1 and today it has been released. While what the complete changes of what the new version brings is unknown, we do know the following:

• Disc-less Game booting, just press SQUARE when booting a game via BM v1.1
• Better compatibility for games and previously non working games

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there really isn't anything new, and honestly Gaia manager can do this + much more.

I can confirm that you don't need to update your payload at all to use this, it works with the original PSGroove payload (if you have not updated since then), and should work for the latest ones as well. Also, it seems you don't have to re-rip games again for them to work - I have been able to play a few games without issues.

Thats all? Long time of waiting for features we had on Open Backup Manager a long time ago? No NTFS Support?

ntfs support is a long ways off. drivers need to be ported(no small feat) and we need a way to install them. but i do agree with the sentiment, "Thats all?"
but what do u expect? they got lucky with psjb in the first place and been full of hot air ever since.

We have better options in open manager, like moving files and patching for games life Street Fighter... Does this work with Street Fighter I wonder? I wonder if it has an auto patch setting or what? What is the features that are going to "blow us away"? I'd really like to know! :p

BTW: I just want to add that most of the regulars here at PS3Hax called it! :p

Edit again: On another side if it plays MW2 I'm all over it as a "backup" for playing that game and any others it may add support to! :D

If anyone does get it to work for Modern Warfare 2 could you let me know!? I'm not home yet to try!

disc-lees play with the pkg is a thing, no? with no payload needed..
