i want to edit the original ps3 theme

i want to edit the original ps3 theme, i want to change the color only and maybe to change the icons...

what file i need to "hack" and what softwares i should need to use to hack the theme?

i think the theme file is in the PS3UPDAT.PUP, i open the file with ps3 multi tool (downloaded from this site),
what i need to do now?

You need to go to system settings and simply change the colour.
It's a built in setting.

As for the icons you can just create your own or download many from the Internet

go to the official website of sony and download the icons pack.
then you can change them of photoshop or whatever...

I think he just wants to change the XMB to a color that's not available via theme settings.

The original PS3 theme is in \dev_flash\vsh\resource\theme

i want same original theme but with other color that no have in setting
and upgrade the icons... little edit just for me :D

Are there any tools out to change the theme color? Because if you have it on original, it has many colors that aren't available via the setting depending on the time of day. I was wondering if these are accessible via a hack of some sort?
