Waninkoko Releases Version 2 Of His CFW
Waninkoko has released version two of his custom firmware, here is a translated quote from the source:
This CFW is installed directly into the NAND has been tested in different models of console (FAT and Slim, reported in the main post) and without any brickeo or similar problem.A quote from the Read Me: DESCRIPTION: This custom firmware for the PS3 increases the system capabilities of your console to allow installation and execution of homebrew applications.Source Download Note: Waninkoko im sure has gone to great lengths to ensure the same doesn't happen, with this CFW that happened on his v1 release, even so i urge all PS3HaX members to be extra carefull and follow the instructions as they are posted. Thanks to facanferff for the tip on IRC. |
Aweosome , great job!

I state this Once again! be careful with the bricks!!!!although i think waninkoko made sure that what happened before, won't happen again...
|
Ok...but...
It's great that wninkoko is not hanging up...but thi CFW is compatible with the homebrews that are yet out? Or 'cause its nature (nand installed) it needs some re-signing process?

Amazing
Okay i jailbroke myn using waninkoko v1 and geohots, do i just over right what i have or do i take it back to OFW and then install waninkoko v2?
P.S. Waninkoko is a god! |
I'm pretty sure this isn't needed. We need 3.56.

Go make it if you "need" it that much :) |
Pretty simple if you have no idea what your doing when installing this stuff . Take it to someone who does then its their in hands should something fail. Waninkoko is great at what he does along with the rest of the devs anyone that dont realize they could "Brick" their console at any time when doing modifications shouldnt be here downloading these files in the first place.
'Nuff said. |
This will be the second thing i will be watching closely today the other been the revolution happening in Egypt (they got the right idea lol)
I will be watching for bricks along with stablity of this CFW before i install it and personally and i urge all newbies or people who are not sure on installing this to hold for the dust to settle on it first. if people do install it please post console models as well with detailed results please. :) EDIT fl0PPsy the Rockbox_PsGroove Dev over at PSX scene has posted the hashes Quote:
