Downgrading Issues
Hello I bought the ps3break dongle. My only intention is to reinstall the firmware by downgrading to fix the corrupted firmware. I had 3 PS3s that are the fat versions that were stuck in upgrade loops. I was able to downgrade one of them and upgrade the firmware to get the PS3 running again. My problem is I have two systems that won't take the service mode after I program the dongle as a downgrade, then plug the dongle in on the right usb port. Flick power switch on tap power then eject quickly. Do different usb dongles work with different models or am I doing something wrong? Thank you for your time & please reply asap.

you must be doing something wrong check this video out

I am doing it exactly like how the video shows. It's just odd that I have two systems that won't read the ps3break dongle and it won't automatically shut off and another two ps3s I've repaired worked fine. It's confusing how one system takes it but the next system doesn't :hmmmm: by the way how do i send a visitor message? lol

Well I see you didn't mention your firmware version but I suppose you probably already know that you can't downgrade from version 3.56

yes I know about that. The system stuck in the loop is on 2.60 firmware.
