anyone succeeded in booting a PS2 game on a PS3 60gb with multiman ?
 

as the title says, i have a bc ps3 but multiman wont work,anyone any ideas ?

atm its not possible to boot ps2 isos via multiman. Dean was supposedly working on ps2 support (experimental) in the past versions. Not sure if he's given up on it already? I sure hope he comes up with a way to boot up ps1/2 isos in his next few releases though :joyman:

i have latest multiman version , if you will try to load a folder with a ps2 game inside (EX:gamez\anyps2game) you will notice it did not drop support ,it is still there for ps2 games backups. . . only thing i was unable to mount and run the ps2game

True. but trying to load the iso or copy to hdd doesnt work at all. All it does is recognizes a ps2 game, but nothing else for now.

yep,that is why i posted the thread ,cuz we might be doing something wrong and someonelse had it working,for example i heard that we should add the file category_game_tool2.xml to "dev_flash" only problem "dev_flash" wont accept writing,neither under peek&poke fw or lv2 patch . . . .

well only now i figured out how to paste category_game_tool2.xml where it should by enabling RW permission on dev_flash , multiman is saying when i mound ps2 game "game path\parm.sfo not found"

any help or ideas?

The big problem is that will their be a ps2 emulator or anything like that for any ps3 that dont have backwards compatability

it is not working yet, i had a conversation with dean, when he released it, he didn't have a ps3 at the time that supported ps2 games, so he was pretty much testing stuff out, he said he had other ideas on how to implement it, but i guess he didn't experiment much more, this was about the time that the cfws started getting out, so he started working other things.

i have a ps3 60gb ntsc (the one with emotion engine),as the other guy said its not working


,if you have any contact with the author of those software ask him if there is a utility or pkg that once installed will boot ulauschelf or the ps3 60gb in ps2 mode

you can mount the flash as a rw a few different ways. Ive overwrote my coldboot ac3 files.
dev_blind is my perferred method
