NAS Harddrive w/ PS3

Hey guys,
i did a search for 'NAS' and nothing came up, and i didnt see a proper location to post this, so im hoping its best put in here. heres my setup,

Linksys Wireless router
Computer Hardwired
PS3 Hardwired
Laptop wireless
Bytecc, landisk NAS hard drive enclosure w/ 500Gb wired

now, my question is...
is there a way to connect the PS3 to the NAS hard drive to listen to my music and view pictures without using the internet browser w/in PS3 through an ftp server.

the reason why i find this odd that its not so simple is that in the XMB for media it gives you the option of searching for servers, and essentially thats what it is... (the NAS that is)

so what gives???

Sure, it just needs to be DLNA complient, like my NAS-01G. Great, cheap NAS BTW. Has Bittorrent capabilty built in.

it all depends on your DLNA. this is by far the best NAS for the ps3 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...=14&subcat=707. however it's just Twonkymedia that makes it such a good nas. if your NAS supports Twonkymedia then you should have no problems http://www.twonkymedia.com/
