Multiman, PS1, Gameshark, Action Replay...
 

Ok since the new Multiman loads and plays PS1 back ups, I decided to try some cheats for some games, I have Action Replay and Game Shark and both of them do not work :(

If anyone knows some sort of solution, I would love to know. I really need Max Lives for Crash Bandicoot lol

Why don't they work?...Did you boot them from Multiman? hmm...

Well the one I can hear it, when I move the cursor (I tried it out in an emulator on the PC just to make sure I wasn't going crazy) and the other one just kicks the system back to the main XMB.

Probably something to do with the way they access the memory? Maybe cheat disks are in the 2% of things that will not work for technical reasons?

Yeah I am loading them in Multiman, so far everything I have tried other then those two disks has worked perfectly.

Edit: The one disk that goes black is super depressing, it boots up to the PS1 logo then black screens (the one that makes sounds when I load it.) The other one just does nothing lol

Well um if you can get Breaker Pro burned...that apparently has a cheat function to it...and Captain confirmed it working. So..even I think I may get it as my cheat device as soon as I get discs. So we may want to use Breaker Pro for cheating. Oh wait um if someone has a old codebreaker we can test that out?...Infact I actually own a ps1 codebreaker if I can find it that is...and see if it'll be able to load a backup copy of a game through multiman.

Hmmm might mention it for the people who read this thread in the future, my console is an NTSC 20GB model (yeah its ancient but its still ticking.) running Kmeaw 3.55 and Multiman 2.07.07

Hmm i had the same problem, but for some reason i got a gameshark v5 to work. I'm currently testing it out on some games that i found lying around in my archive. I'm on Kmeaw 3.55 on PS3 slim with the latest multiman, i think it's 2.09.01

i tryed the cheats for die hard trilgloy and nothing hapened so they must not work for some reason, a well just have to play them old school. Has anybody noticed how easy they make ps3 now days cause i remember playing my ps1 and finishing them in no time and lovein it but now they seem hard as im used to ps3 games lol

you can try other ways..
