Halo Movie in the Works
Halo will receive a movie adaptation next year, according to a report.
A French press release for upcoming book Halo: Cryptum said that Steven Spielberg and Dreamworks would be involved in the project. "A film adaptation is set in 2012 . It will be conducted jointly by two heavyweights of American cinema - Steven Spielberg and studio Dreamworks," read a translation of the release by Halo.fr. Dreamworks has been previously linked to a Halo movie, with the studio hoping to adapt one of the spinoff books for the big screen. Similarly, Spielberg was said to be in negotiations with a Stuart Beattie-helmed script in 2009. Last year Microsoft said that it still wants a Halo movie to be made, and was said to be exploring various avenues for release. |
Ughhh...another video game movie...and based on a shooter none the less. A game without a plot (or with a really bad plot) can be OK so long as the gameplay is good...but without gameplay, what do you have? At best, you have something that is funny for how bad it is...like Hitman or Street Fighter.
