PS3 CECH 3000 Thread
 

I think we need a thread for PS3 Slim 3000 Versions. Please feel free to post news or talk about a possible jailbreaks etc.

Its currently not downgradable.

Taken out of the E3-Flasher FAQ:
"We find 3000X version console can programme correctly but can't downgrade and dual boot, we will do best to work it out and provide to all free."

Progskeet Forums:
"The cech25xx consoles made after feb. Where included with a new file metldr 2.0 which prevents downgrade. Until we manage to find the encryption keys, it is not possible to downgrade."

I recently bought a 3k but unfotunatly there is no way to downgrade it. :(

So there is no way to downgrade CECH-3000 that came with 3.66OFW--and is now running 3.73OFW--via E3 NOR FLASHER ?

Correct. E3 Tech is working on it (at least the tell so..)

Am owning a KTE-001 MB, CECH-3000..., Samsung NOR K8P2716UZC-QI4D.

By any chance, do u succeed to dump Samsung NOR memory ? (not downgrade, just dump).

... the E3 clip seems not to clip very well due to very close components... I circle in red "Close components + Samsung NOR" in the following picture.

I got the usual error code ... and the E3 flasher upgrade for Samsung NOR is installed.

you cant downgrade you will brick your ps3 because yours is the new un hackable ps3

Maybe, there is a new solution with the new metldr 2.0 exploit, in fact, we just need a new CFW like 3.72...

Apologies I only read the quote from progskeet now. Never knew there was a metldr 2.0 in cech 3000. So that sthe reason its unhackable?
