Hi, the new items are cool...

I like the game (thanks!), but I'm still having issues with it freezing my ps3 like I did with earlier versions of paintown. I've actually never been able to do to a complete run through the main game because it sometimes freezes when loading the next level. Is this a common problem, and is it fixable?

can you please let me know exactly what you are doing when it freezes?
what character you are using, which level you are on and exactly what happens and what the loading box says that would be very helpful

Thanks for the help. The freeze has happened with various characters, and I've had it happen before this newest version. I can't remember what level it was loading when it froze last night, though I think it was right after the level with parked cars in the background. I'll try it again when I get home tonight to see if it happens at the same spot. I can't remember exactly what it said in the loading box at the moment it froze, but I can check that out this evening as well and report back.

Also, lunuxx, do you know if there's a way to save any settings we change in the options menu so that the game loads up with those settings any time we play the game? Or maybe there's a way to change the defaults in a config file? In my case, I like to change the number of lives, the music's volume, and the controls. If not, it's no big deal, but I just thought I'd ask.

jonrafkind says he is going to fix the settings issue soon, please let me know which level and if its random or just on that specific level.

Wow This is awesome game. And many Home brew Game. I love to play these games. However, I really do not have anytime to install or play these games, because I need to finish all games on PS3 such as God of war, final fantasy, resident evil .... and many more game before look at this illsome :> game

Okay, I've just tested it again, and when I was playing with Cammy (a different character than who I used last night--it was kenshura or whatever his name is last night, the ninja-looking guy with the sword), it froze after completing the indoor level with paintings in the background--I think this is the 3rd level. So the ps3 froze while loading the level after that: even the ps button wouldn't do anything so I had to press the system's power button. The music cut out at this point, too. Last night I made it to the 7th or 8th level before the freeze happened, and I'm pretty sure it's happened at different times before, too, so it seems sort of random.

This is what was visible in the loading box when it froze:
