Broken BR drive
 

I have a problem with trying to run any app from XMB meny. As you can see I have a broken BR drive, and I installed kmeaw 3.55 so I could at least play backups on my PS3. But every app I have installed goes black screen when I run it, and I have to turn off my PS3. I've seen there's a fix if I put a disc in the drive when I try to run an app, but my drive is broken. Is there any solution? PM me or something

was the drive broken before you installed cfw

Yes, that's why I installed it, so I could play any of my PS3 games

did you use a normal kmeaw cfw or did you use the kmeaw blu ray bypass cfw

I used normal Kmeaw CFW. Is the other one for the broken BR drive PS3's?

it might help , if you cant find one that cfw you can use mfw builder and build it from kmew cfw

normal a broken logic board make pkg games and demo and hombrew go to blacl screen but i cant see its that broken because when you update to a normal cfw it would of kicked in to a update loop but as it didnt it cant be that

if you cant find the fimware i will make you 1 and upload it for you let me know if you cant find it

also remeber if you do find it use this app to make sure its 3.55 http://www.ps3hax.net/2010/12/releas...e-pup-checker/ just incase some a55 uploads 3.72 and saying it 3.55 useing this will tell you if its 3.55 or not

OK, I've found some BDB file, so I'll try it out. I have two PS3, both with a broken BR drive. One of them has the BR drive, and I've removed the BR drive from the other one and send it for repair. That one was in a loop when I tried to update, so I first updated the one with the drive, and then I moved the drive in the other one, so it could finish the update. I'll try this update, and I'll post my results. But I owe you a big big thanks

OK, so I've done my homework, and it seems to me that I have a bad logic board. O was and still am able to do updates and I can install CFW, but none of the .pkg won't work. Is this final, is my only option to buy a new BR drive, or is there any other solution?
