What type of E3 brick do i have?
Redlight-> (power on) -> Two Flash red light -> Yellow light (OF DEATH) -> Red light
So... WHAT TEH F*CK happened? Luckly for me i have a back up with perfect byte count. I was wondering if i get a Teensy++ (im poor) solder it to the test points will i have to supply power to the NOR or will the teensy do that for it? Also Ca anyone show me a thread for 3.73 on replacing the meldtr and all that in Downgrade.bin? So i can flash that to the NOR Thanks! |
What model is your PS3, what's its date code and what's the stock firmware it had?
|
firmware 3.73
NOR chip Purchased with below 3.41 FW |
You only answered one out of the 3 questions, but anyway if it had 3.41 FW at some point you probably didn't patch your NOR dump correctly, or it didn't write properly.
As for leaving it turned on, I'm not exactly sure, I think there's a trick involving the 5V output from the PSU, but I'm not sure if it works. If it doesn't, wait for the ProgSkeet dual NOR method, flash a correct dump to the progskeet nor, boot ps3 from that nor, and you should be able to flash the stock NOR again. |
Here is the thing. When you downgrade (faceplam for not reading up on this) you use E3 downgrade.bin
Bet 20$ that their downgrade.bin I tried flashing was the problem. Seriously how would they have the right data for my consle? Anyways I read up in one of the other threads that someone repired it with progskeet |
i got same error. But lucky for me. I got the Dump and then i saved my ps3 with progskeet. Forget about E3 i will never use that's again. Even now i can read the nor. Allway got error : not curent ps3 back up ... s*** e3

Can you described really quickly how u did it? |
No affter flash with e3 i got same error with you. Power on --> 2 beep --> yellow, red light .... and e3 power down too. SO there is no way to flash orgin nor with e3 now. You need to solder progskeet. Put a swich on R7 point. When power ps3 you put R7 open, affter 10 ---> 20s put r7 closed and flash orgin dump with progskeet
