Question and doubts about formatting ps3 internal HDD.
 

Hi, hope someone can help me. My ps3 is a slim one (A PES 2010 PS3 BUNDLE) I remember it to have FW 3.50 from factory and I already have it on kmeaw 3.55 cfw.

I want to format the internal HDD.

To do this ¿I need to remove kmeaw 3.55?, i don't want to cause any brick or something

I too am curious about reformatting an internal drive on kmeaw 3.55 cfw.

Just Install 3.55 OFW from recovery menu then reformat then go back to 3.55 CFW from recovery menu, you dont need to downgrade.

Ok let me see if a get it:

be on kmeaw 3.55, go to recovery menu and istall 3.55 FW?

Yes Then Format, and then go to 3.55 cfw or if you want online go to 3.73 OFW.

also if u did want to downgrade yes u can use that link but as you ps3 is 3.50 factory thats the lowerest u can go , u could try that fake pup file that tells you whats the lowerest firmware your ps3 can go to for sure
