Review: Circuitrework.com
I just wanted to warn everyone about this company and their fraudulent practices & high prices. First, the prices they quoted: To reball a CPU, a GPU, or a Southbridge, they want $200 per chip, with no price break for multiple chips. This is high, and the price goes up considerably if you want the work done in less than 3 weeks. Second, the real problem: They are liars. I contacted them multiple times, each time they confirmed that they can replace the CELL on a PS3 with a new chip if it is damaged. They confirmed that they could do this before I sent the board to them when I mentioned that I didn't know if it was possible, they confirmed that they could do this after they received the board when I told them that I was almost certain it was impossible, and they even confirmed this after I explained that the metldr would not work with a new CELL, and that I was 100% certain that it could not be done without rewriting the metldr; a service that they do not offer. I understand that businesses exist to make money, but this particular business is more concerned with charging $600 for reballing than with repairing anything. Even if the prices were not so high, I would not trust them to do anything as they clearly don't care if their work leads to a functioning repair or not. I am currently giving them one last chance; here is the last email I sent: Quote:

@KillerBug
, what ever came out of this? Did they return your board & part? :questionmark: Thanks.

They never actually admitted that they couldn't do the repair, but they did say that they won't guarantee that a repaired board will work if they didn't repair the problem...so I assumed that meant they couldn't do the job. They are shipping the board back to me on their dime, so I guess they get upgraded to a D-.
