Questions about True Blue (JB2).... I know nothing
About to get a ps3, I know nothing about this and I have a few questions.
1) do i have to buy True Blue or JB2 dongle? if so which is better? 2) if I buy them, are upgrades always free? 3) do they support all games? if not where can I see the games supported? Also would this allow me to use old PS1/PS2 games ? Thanks A lot! |

2) yes if there´s any update 3) no not all of them regarding your ps1-2 question: you can play ps1 games without the dongle you just need to get your game disk as hdd support is not enabled yet. ps2 games nope unless you have an old fashion BC console |
Awesome thanks for the simple answers.
Is there anywhere I can see which newer games are supported by True Blue? |
Simplest answer, its a pile of junk....

I may be mistaken, but you still need a machine that has 3.55 Firmware, so you can't just go buy a machine and use the TB. If I'm wrong please correct me.

I am thinking of capitalizing on back friday and get a new PS3. So I am guessing it comes with the newest Firmware. |
my advice read up before you do anything
flashing looks easy but looking at all the posts of bricked ps3's due to the E3 flasher it fails way to much progskeet flasher is soldered (haven't seen many shops where you can buy the solderless kit yet) so unless you have some soldering skills and the patiance you can downgrade to 3.55 but theres a downside the new ps3's in the 3000 range have the new metldr so they can't be downgraded yet (anyone correct me if wrong pls) and thetrue blue dongle im with GregoryRasputin on that one it's junk |
Thanks....
So basically I cant do jack with the new PS3 unless its downgraded. Since I never soldered anything before...its best bet to wait for a solderless downgrade. Once a downgrade can be made, what should I look into if true blue is junk? |
