Forum Currency Thread

This is a poll. Now that we've established that, I want you all to think about this idea some of the other members and I have discussed in several threads: a forum shop. A lot of other forums have it, and I think it would be a nice and fancy addition to this one.

It would add innovation to the forum, well at least I think so. Thoughts?

Imagine this:

10 Points per Post

20 Points per Like
(You get 20 points everytime someone likes one of YOUR posts, not everytime you like someone elses post)

100 Points per News Article
(Must be front paged to get points)

Very Rough Example Of A Shop Prices:

1500 Points Custom Username Title
3000 Username Change
5000 Colored Username
( You cannot have a blue username for obvious reasons, or a purple username unless you donate)

???? Miscellaneous Username Effects

Maybe there could be badges in the shop that could be added to your profile? (Like a PS3, Xbox 360 or Wii or anything else; similar to the trophies awarded in the Arcade)

Anyhow on a serious note, i do like the idea @Annelies .

sound like a good idea, think a chatbox on forum page would be good too. loads of other places have it and seems to go down well, could have a section for different things like noob section and dev section lol :):):)

All possible to do. I'll implement a testing points system based off of forum activity (what I use @ CODHax) here and see how it goes. Once I get a "feel" for how the points work I'll add the shop.

It will take into calculation the following factors:

- Thread replies of own threads
- Thread votes of own threads
- Thread tags
- Replies to own threads
- Sticky threads
- Socialgroup Discussions (Discussions, Posts)

Posts
- Created posts
- Views on attachments
- Likes

User
- Days since registration
- Average posts per Day (for users who are on forum for at least seven days)
- Referrals
- Received infractions
- Reputation / Use of reputation system
- Visitor messages on profiles
- Members of own social groups
- Albumpictures
- Friends
- Completing Profile

Misc
- Calendar entries
