Dear $ony:

We in the Netherlands still make jokes about Germans that we want our bicycles back. Tis is from 70 years back, in WOII the Germans stole a lot of Dutch bicycles. We always say it in German:"Gib mir mein Fahrrad zurück !!"

If I am still alive in 70 years (don't think so) I still will say this to you: "Gib mir mein OtherOS zurück !!"

you know my thought on this whole deal would be this.

Not that you have to choose to stop upgrading your firmware to keep OtherOS but the fact if you do choose to not upgrade your firmware that you CANNOT play current games for the system. This to me would be more important stance on the matter.

^^^ - True.. I can understand not being able to go "online" and play, but at least be able to play "offline!"

I'm leaving SONY as soon as the new XBOX comes out. :lollypop:

This has been my complaint from the beginning. I can play roms on my pc or wii, don't give a crap about pirating. Just let me play the games that I should be entitled to be playing on my ps3 regardless of FW version. Doesn't seem to trivial..?

Ps3 the computer console... now upgraded to... computer or console. By the way they have it worded they can convert it to only a bluray player and call it an update.
