(Mod) Ps3 Complete Acrylic Case
 

Hello people.

I just want to share a mod that I did with my PS3.

I found some heat problems so, I created my self a larger case for my PS3 all in acrylic ;)

It's not finished yet. I still have some things to do but, with this the ps3 runs cooler all day ;)

That is pretty nice. How did you go about getting the screws and everything lined up? Any design plans :D

Nice. Did you have to do anything to get the button extensions to work correctly? When I tried extending mine, I got random ejects every time my cell phone was within a few feet of the system.

About the buttons/bolts, this is a phat ps3, so the buttons are capacitive. If they are touched through an electrical wire, they work. Pretty easy and no problems until now. ;)

About the acrylic, it can be cut with this. I don't know the name in English :P

And yes, some design projects but I'm not a designer, so they are a lot of mistakes there, but I think that the final result its good enough to cover the errors :P

Now I'm thinking in something for the BR drive. It's difficult to put some cd in and out. Something like a spring mechanisme to help the cd to go in and out would be good.
