Enabling the option of playing music during a game.

Enabling the option of playing music during a game.

eg call of duty black ops, it is not possible to listen to music while playing,
how to unlock?

na i dont think so.the only way a ps3 game lets you play music is if it's in the game (aka like gt5.)

The ability for music playback isn't "locked", the XMB and games are simply separate. Therefore if the functionality isn't built into the game by default, reading the MP3's and such from the default folder, it is not possible to do so. Sorry bro. :(

Street Fighter supports it, it depends on the game, some games don't let you

yes you can do it ,i have done it all my life .Get 2 Y splitters RCA adapters 1 male to 2 female = 2 of those & split your red & white audio wires to a receiver & get a mp3 player = Pin jack connection to male RCA jack & you can run both game stream & music stream through same connection to receiver:) Trust me i been doing this my whole life & you have 2 separate volume controls for it.. Example from MP3 player ==> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-pla-_-NA-_-NA That is one wire you might need adapters with 2 female ends also depending how many PS3s u have i have a switch box to do this ..

You should get the pitcher ..

I found a way of doing it (I haven't seen people talking about it so it would be worth stickying it or frontpaging it or whatever):
Get your game and check on what resolution it displays ingame.
Go back to XMB and put PS3 to output on that resolution (for example, if it's 720p, black unselect the 1080i and 1080p resolutions.
Go to multiMan, select the game and press (/\) and go to permittions and select the "Direct Boot" Option.
Press start and launch the game.
If you are lucky the game supports Direct Boot and you can use both ingame screenshots and background music.

No offence or something against you but, you do understand that this is dangerous and you should not advise people doing that when we have told that it's dangerous right?
If it was that simple there wouldn't be amplifiers,pre-amps and mixers.
Doing that method causes the PS3 and your music source (iPod in this case) to recieve atleast the double electrical resistance than they are built for with results varrying from distorded audio to a permanent damage to the hardware of your Ipod, PS3 or both.
Since I doubt either iPod or PS3 have a security resistor for video/audio connections I think it could lead to some super rare extreme situations (if you wear headphones) to an electrocution (It's not high to kill you but it's really unpleasant and I'm not sure how it would affect your ability of hearing if the cables were so near to your years)

@VIRGIN KLM I have a $500 receiver & i been doing this for over 33 years .I have yet to have any problems with my recievers or anything i had ever used . I am not new to this as i been doing audio for cars & home almost my hole life . I had done this so many times ,i think after 38 yrs i have no problems & i will not stop as i said everything works as it should & i use many different methods to stream music & i also use separate cables or switch boxes ,etc there are many ways. I make this short = After 35+ years i have no problems :)

I think this is personal opinion ,IT can Or Maybe damage ? Nothing wrong here ,good as new ..
