NEED HELP. DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO ANYMORE

First of all hello to everyone im new here ;D, im having a problem , that i dont know exactly what it is, so im gonna describe everything i can and hope that someone knows what i should do. Well my ps3 is a 80gb fat, bought it in 2007 till september this year no problems... then i installed kmeaw 3.55 ( i followed the tutorials and stuff nothing went wrong), and multiman.. i was a happy player. But then it started... sometimes the ps3 freezes, and a green screen with dots appeared and then it wouldnt respond to the control and not even the power button, so i had to turn it off in the main switch, and i started to notice that like about 20-30 mins it freezed and green screen again, if i turn it off and on again the problem would happen in 5-10 minutes or even 10 seconds later. So i started reading about this and read somenthing about the thermical paste on the gpu bla bla overheated bla bla. So i sent it to a guy he openned it cleanned it and aplied the thermical paste. Great! i was playing again... for 1 week... when the problem started again... so i put the ofw again (3.55), the problem still persisted (rare but still had it), so i installed kmeaw + gaia... still rare but playable... then i removed gaia and installed multiman and then the problem hit me 100% again... it doesnt matter if its a backup or a blu ray disc... it will freeze at somepoint... sometimes just freezes but the audio goes on (so maybe a cable issue? nope changed the samething), sometimes the green screen... i dont know what to do anymore, thermical paste, ofw, other backup manager... i need some help or advice here, im not sure yet if its a hardware or software problem:confused:. so please if someone can give me some light :s:

if your graphics mess up and lock up then its a sure sign of gpu failing. it may not be ylod "yet" but thats the way its headed by the symptoms

but what do you think... 100% will solve the problem? 80%? 50 %?

a reflow done correctly will get it working for months.
a key to open it? all you need is a torx bit and a screwdriver.

lol, no. that may get it working for an hour or 2 but it cant get up to the correct temp to reflow the solder ( melt it) which is around 220c iirc
