PS3 250G, FW 3.30...worth $250?
 

i have a chance to buy another PS3, and i just want some feedback if anyone else thinks its worth $250. i think so just for HD space alone. low, easily JB-able FW too....

thoughts?

if its a slim then yes! if a fat with a hard drive upgrade then maybe not

hell no..a new ps3 with a 160hd $249...just because its on a lower firmware does not mean it cost more...it is only worth what the person feels like...meaning if they think its gold then sell it to them as gold...ME 150 All Day LONG.....U pay 2 much..:shot:

Not worth it because thats how much they are new. Well ok, thats how much a 120GB is new but the 320 is $300. You could get it for a lower price, and slim vs fat is all about preference, i prefer launch fats over everything else but thats just me (and no, despite lots of others getting ylod ive yet to see anything remotely close on mine, though id still like to put thermal paste on it for good measure)

fw 3.55 and below is now limited.hackable console will cost more.

i bought a cech-2501a with firmware 3.40 4 only 150 and it came with 1 controller and ufc 2010..just saying. dont hate.o yea that was last month..lol

its a slim. looking at it for JB'ing purposes, nothing more. more than adequate HD space, since i plan on using an external for games that dont require internal moving. another question though: want an external, and ive done some research, but want a general concensus on externals. something compatible, i'm thinking AC adapter probably as to not drain the PS3 - i can format it to FAT32, so i'm not worried about that - just want something known to work. any suggestions?

You definitely want it to have it's own power source so you're going the correct route on that...

I believe the most the PS3 will read is 1.5TB so, don't get anything bigger than that. Other than that, you should be okay. Western Digital MyBook's are fine. I have a 1TB and I'm content.
