either that or all the solders are cold solders = bad

remove all solder from there with solder braid then re solder
with good leaded solder the pad that came off had way to much heat

alternate point would be on the other side as no traces go from the test pad
check it out or check nor for gp0 and follow the trace from that

Same^^except use leaded solder, for me it's much easier to work with than lead free.

Woha!
Be careful when soldering such things!
Even if you are able to complete your mission, you will have a high danger of shortage and/or data corruption.
Take the advices from ploggy and jhax - and if you still have problems, don't be greedy with the flux ;)
If you still have problems then, replace your soldering iron, preferably with a more modern, digital/adjustable soldering station. It's possible to get at a fair price nowdays. :)

I would have done that if all ground pts and vcc pt were easy to melt (dunno where all the heat went off).

Is it #1 or #2? According to http://www.ps3devwiki.com/index.php?...dware_flashing gp0 (CE0) is pin 32 correct me if Im wrong, ty.

I have a semi-trained eye when it comes to soldering these days, although i'm far from a master. lol (I've made all the mistakes in the book in the past) :p

That should be quite suitable :)
Maybe you need to replace your soldering tip or use a thinner one then.
I would also recommend to use plenty of flux. It never hurts ;)
Just remember to clean it up afterwards. Some of them are conductive.
