PS3 Dev Wiki down?
 

Today I was comparing the TB_REBUG_3.55.2 to the regular REBUG_3.55.2 to try and find out where the dongle is called to do it's thing.

After unpacking both pup's I found some differences.so I dug a little deeper.
The core os packages have different hashes so I unpacked those.there only the lv1.self and lv2_kernel.self where different.(My guess is that this is where the peek/poke patches are done)

Two other files where different to : dev_flash_011.tar.aa.2010_11_27_051337
and dev_flash_022.tar.aa.2010_11_27_051337.

When tying to find out how to unpack those so I could have a look inside, I saw that the ps3 dev wiki is down.

Can anybody give me a nudge in the right direction as how to unpack those two files?

it's simple: just rename them as .tar and open it as a zip

maybe with google cache you can find something again :dontknow:

Can I do Them one at a time or do I need to put them all together?

they are all differents tars. you can unpack just one of them without any problems

But I can't get them to unpack.
Tried winzip, winrar and 7zip.
Alway the same error. not a valid archive.
any sugestions?

Never mind found it pupunpacker v2.2 under cygwin.

No that didn't do it.

you can use on cygwin tar xvf *.tar

No can't seem to get it to work.
I always get this:

$ tar xvf *.tar
tar: This does not look like a tar archive
tar: Skipping to next header
tar: Exiting with failure status due to previous errors

The file I'm trying to unpack is 'dev_flash_011.tar.aa.2010_11_27_051337'

have u tried changing it to just this 'dev_flash_011.tar

PS3DevWiki appears to be back up...
