What do you think this console firmware is?
 

I heard 160 GB are past 3.55, but I also read that if a console comes with a game that was released before or around 3.55, then it should have the firmware for the game .

Im trying to find 120 GB ps3s, but no luck at all.

as long as it is an original black ops bundle then it should be 3.55 same goes for nhl and infamous they have a 14 day return policy tho so if it is above 3.55 send it back and try again :)

Getting a 3.55 Ps3 is super hard to obtain now. Its been 9 months since update 3.56..

I think you're best bet is buying a ps3 from a user willing to sell their 3.55 ps3

i mean the original bundle and not just a ps3 with black ops the mod nation racer bundle is also 3.55 aswell as gt5 bundle i think

Bundles offered by retailers obviously don't count, they can mix a 3000 series with older games.
What you have to look for is 250GB and 320GB bundles, that are bundled by Sony. Any 120 works too if brand new.

My second ps3 (160gb black ops bundle) is a cech2501A, 3.50 from factory. But Im not sure if all 2501A came with 3.50...

Depends if its a cech2.... and also the Datecode, if the datecode is 1a or higher then it wont be firmware 3.55
