Think of how better those games could have been if they were running on significantly updated hardware. Graphics at this point don't REALLY matter as much as they did before. The jump in graphics from PS3 to PS4 will be very small, but think about how much better the games will run performance wise.

I would actually go the other way and say that graphics can definitely improve. For one Poly count can and will always improve, And i believe the jump from PS3 graphics to PS4 graphics will be a large one in technical terms. The PS3's RSX is the equivalent of 2 6800 (or 7800 forget) in SLI, a single PC card today can demolish that performance wise and if the equivalent power of 2 older pc cards on the PS3's RSX can produce visuals that compare with visuals on today's PCs, imagine how it will be lets say if they used a GTX 590 equivalent, imagine the visuals possible.

Two? I thought it was an upgraded single 7800 chip. Either way yes a PC destroys that, but a mid-end PC video card costs almost as much as a PS3 :P

i hope they make the ps4 more game developers friendly cuz i dont want to see lame ass graphics as well as buggy and broken games

LOL I was saying equivalent to 2 of those cards as that was what is presented at the announcement of PS3 by nvidia themselves. And yeah the pc cards are expensive but if you think about it the ps3 was 642 USD (for me), that would probably cover the cost of the system GPU included, and thats not reason why they won't do something similar, for example: price a console like around 500 and pack a custom gpu as powerful as lets say 2 580 in SLI. And think about it something as weak as 2 6800s can produce visuals similar to todays PC graphics, so if they take the same approach again with PS4 who is to say the visuals wont be as good as lets say 3-4 years ahead of its time. Of course the devs are the main ones who will either decide to or not to utilize such power.

Here is an image of nvidia specin the RSX during PS3 announce:

It better be smaller than the AppleTV, and be more intuitive than iScreen.

And what does its iPhone interface look like?

I just hope it gets better hardware so games and progress faster, for other platforms (eg. PC)
