so i wake up this morning to 9 police officers just about to bash my front door in saying that they have a warrant to search my house for stolen property. i let them in because i think it must be a mistake because i am no theif nor do i buy from thieves. As they are searching i am calm because i know i have no stolen property in my house. then it dawned on me that i have £25 bag of weed on a tray in my bedroom and of course they found it. Now i'm £25 down and have got a criminal record. I still have no idea why they would be wanting to search my house anyway as i keep myself to myself and the last time i was arrested was over 12 years ago for being drunk and disorderly. Well thats it for now just thought i would share my fXXked up day with you all and find out what you all think. like shouldnt the police be out catching rapists and murders instead of looking for stolen property in my house where i no there is none and charging me for a little bit of weed.

I'd try asking your friends a few discreet words mate, as for there to be 9 cops for a stolen property search of a domestic dwelling sounds as if they were expecting much more than just you and even quite possibly you (read as the criminal lol) being violent and even possibly armed.

My ex works with the Police (not for) and even she thinks that 9 is way over the top.

Either that or they all just fancied a day trip to your place :)

They DO try to catch rapists etc, but the f*cking sad thing these days is that UK law system is becoming more and more like the US and it really is so f*cking hard to arrest and convict someone for a rape or murder now as the solicitors and lawyers have the Police by the balls a lot of the time :( (I know some Very decent cops that are even more sick of the law than we are).

Agreed... 9 cops sounds like way too much for a simple stolen property thing. Once you let them in though, you're shid-outa-luck.

Criminal record now.. for 25£ of pot? That's outrageous. At least in Canada they decriminalized up to an ounce. :vollkommenauf:

They came for the weed...lol...I don't see why they should be confiscating your stash, not like you are disturbing it. Such a small quantity. Good thing they didn't take away your PS3.

I would get a lawyer and sue their ass.

if they came specifically to search for stolen goods they should not at all have given you a criminal record for personal weed.

i suggest you get a lawyer (even legal aid ones) to check what the warrant covered as they have to be specific on what it covers.

Confiscating your weed seems wrong, but i think the police officers can´t just ignore and walk away. :(
