Forum for homebrew development?

Is there a good forum which is visited/used frequently for discussing developing homebrew? as this site seems to be useless for that (sadly)..

IRC might be better for development discussion.

I haven't seen you start any threads regarding Homebrew, so how can you say the site is useless for that :(

Emulating a handbag is the best we can ever do, they are much ahead of us ;)

IRC (as I regard it as) is really for a chatlike live discussion, not a 'topic' based way of discussing it and as a 'reference' which you can (and others) can look up later..

Looking at the number of threads that actually are about developing homebrew is what I based my comment on (I didn't mean it as harsh as it might have sounded)..

At the moment I'm looking at both the 'official' SDK and the PSL1GHT, and yeah I know we can't discuss the official SDK here, we can discuss the PSL1GHT here, but when I asked a question on how to correctly set it up there was no response (and on other sites they just say, use the Rebug VM image, which is fine if you want to keep switching back and forth between OSes (and mainly the differences between the OSses), also no real 'for dummy' tutorials on setting it up (that's the problem sadly with a lot of community based SDK's, they surely are for Linux experts not someone who isn't used to having to type a lot of stuff on a commandline just to get 1 simple thing.. (and I'm not really a dummy, but when it comes to those commandline stuff I tend to go 'huh?, what?, why?'..)
And the tutorials that are available tend to not be complete or working at all..
I've been looking at the PSL1GHT VM version for now (even though it is very outdated I guess, also looking at other posts of dev's who are working on it) just to get some feel for how it works, and hopefully this weekend I can try my hand at the Official SDK (which is able to use Visual Studio 2010).. when all that seems to work, I'm gonna check out and old PS3SDK for windows made by some dev's on how they did all the setting up..
But all that costs time sadly.. But when I have it all sorted out, I'll propably make a better 'for dummy's' tutorial on getting it to work on windows or something..

Also the lack of a real answer on my question on the rebug/debugging possibilies gave me the idea that no real developers are on these board, only people who want others to make homebrew/CFW for them.. (hence the useless discussions/ideas of people about how to possibly hack the PS3)..

One plus, looking around on the web, PS3Hax seems like the better (organised) site when it comes to PS3 and homebrew..

@SuperDre There's a reason some people call the scene dead. It isn't really, but saying that it's dozing would be fair. There seems to be a relatively small group of devs, and no noobs learning and becoming devs. If you want that to change soon, start learning, share your work, talk about it on the forums, and ask questions here when you get stuck. A little interest goes a long way.

I don't mean to sound like I'm just lecturing, these are all things I hope to be doing myself within the next week. If you want to make a difference, try, I will support you and others will come out as well. Keep asking :D
