Can I play the old backups using the tb software ?? if not , can i switch between kamew 3.55 jb and tb software ???

yeah it works with any back up manager and u can always go back to ur old cfw or whatever u wish

With TB ur machine runs of there cfw and when it is not inserted(the dongle TB) it acts like ofw. Everything u have on machine will still be there. Now I did hear and or read that u may not be able to copy disc in MM(Multiman) not sure of this ,but just to let u know may want to look into it.

So do you need to have both fw's installed TB & KAMEW 3.55 or will TB be ok by itself to play all the games ?

no all you need is TB "dongle" 3.55v2 to be installed all current Kmeaw compatable game plus TB fixed games will play. The only disc you cannot back up are the discs sold on Lightake of the TB pirated games all other PS3 games will back up just fine
