noob trying to crack New Vegas' DLCs
Hi everyone,
Since the release of Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition I've been considering going through another run of that game with all its DLCs, but I suck at cracking DLCs, and I'd like to know if anyone else here managed to achieve this (and could point me towards the right direction). I looked for those cracked DLCs in lots of different places (as re-signed .pkg files), couldn't find them anywhere (yeah I know, I could find them on PSN, but this is a piracy-related talk, so please spare me the sarcasm, thank you ). So I had a look at the Ultimate Edition release, and the DLCs are not .pkg files like in other games, they're just a big bunch of files in the USRDIR/DATA/ folder (so they don't require any firmware-key-signing, right?). So, like a big noob that I am, I tried writing the whole DATA folder from the ultimate edition over the original edition's DATA folder: it doesn't work. The game launches but doesn't go any further than the home screen, impossible to load or start a new game. Right now, and I'll probably make some of you laugh by saying this, I'm thinking... maybe replacing the ultimate edition's eboot (requires 3.73 FW) with the original edition's eboot (3.50 or 3.55 I believe). So please tell me, for those of you who understand all this better than me, any chance this might do the trick? Or did anyone else already try to mess a little with those DLC files from the ultimate edition and/or have a better idea? Thanks to anyone willing to help or share views! |
ask duplex
but.. that would be piracy if you downloaded it right? |

Here is what u need to know about the react process. I uploaded an nfo with links cause I didn't want to link to the site due to content. NOTE: if u don't have that damn nfo viewer "i pity the foo." but just change file extension to .txt and view in note pad. http://www.mediafire.com/?72uiclpjmwfl08r |

Edit: So basically you sent me a PS3ISO tutorial about ReAct PSN, thanks but that's not exactly what I had in mind... I don't want to mess with ReACT PSN, I'm sure I'll screw something up and end up bricking my PS3. Besides, I'm on TB CFW v2 and I read that Rebug is the most recommended CFW for this. But thanks anyway. I'll just keep looking. |
