switching to a xbox from ps3
Hello everyone,
(i hope this is the right thread for this) I have a ps3 with base FW 3.66 and current FW 4.11 (as there was no point in not upgrading) but now i m stuck with only a few games and no homebrew (the only perk being online play-but my internet is not great for a great online experience). I wanted to get a xbox360 as an alternative for playing thru the HDD/installing PKG/homebrew but i really lack any basic knowledge about xbox modding/hacking. I dont know jack. and whatever i ve learned about the ps3 is thru ps3hax only. are the new xbox hackable? if so what are the limitations? Can anyone kindly suggest a site which may tell about the current hackable xbox FW or anything from the scratch so that i understand? I m planning to get a new 4GB/250GB model. Thanks EDIT: yes i ve been thru some threads in this section .. got to know something about the xk3y/Jtag/wasabi but not much. sorry for the ignorance. |
I have found this site to be very helpful.

Simple.
Homebrew/alternative dashboards/way more game mods/HDD loading (external and internal) - JTAG/RGH hack. Online/mainly disc based/HDD loading/no homebrew - Drive mod/USB HDD loader such as xKey etc. Ideally (if money is no object) the best setup is a stock 360, drive modded 360 and a JTAG/RGH then you'll have everything covered...much like the PS3 scene demands a hacked 3.55 PS3 and a stock, online 4.11 PS3 for the best of both worlds. |
Is there an easier way to jtag them now and do they still have to be a certain firmware ? It's been a while since I had one

Pretty much any 360 on any firmware can be RGH'd, a lot of progress has been made in the 360 scene...in fact thinking about that compared to the PS3 scene makes me sick.

thanks guys .. i ll start learning ..
RGH looks good. |
