should i upgrade to 4.11 or stick to 3.65...help please
 

hello everyone, i am new to PS3
i have bought a new PS3 cech 3004b, and it came with FW 3.65, and all i can find about downgrading to 3.55 is via E3 Flasher (which i don't actually prefer to do), so i have decided to wait for the new CFW and i have decided to stick to original games, but the problem is when i tried to create and account on PSN so i can play Assassin's Creed II online i got a msg says that there is a new FW available for download which i believe is 4.11, so should i upgrade it to this FW so i can have an account and play online or should i stick to my current FW (3.65) so it is the most probably one to get hacked, and if i shouldn't upgrade how can i play online with my current FW, and one other thing if i upgraded it to 4.11, and after a while a CFW for 3.65 is released, can i factory reset it to its factory state so it will downgrade itself back again to 3.65 or it won't get downgraded.

TBH, you might aswell upgrade and enjoy PSN.

Your PS3 can't go lower than 3.65 so no homebrew for you at the moment :(

I don't know this is rogero 3.1 and it says in the agreement that you can downgrade 3.65 with it. I have not tried and it has to be installed from recovery mode. I am using it on my 3.55 and it works great. Try downgrade at your own risk http://www.mediafire.com/?oagnvf3gj1jazba

the point is i am not planing to downgrade below 3.65, but if i upgraded it and then factory rest it, will stick to the new previously upgraded FW which i believe will be 4.11, or it will return back to 3.65 as it is the out of the box FW

This is probably his CFW with patches to help downgrade compatible consoles which came with FW 3.55<

If it was this simple everyone would know about it by now.

Chances are, your lowest possible firmware is 3.65. If this is the case, E3 is useless to you. If a CFW 3.65 comes out magically, then it would most likely include all newer firmwares (e.g. 4.11). So you might as well upgrade and enjoy some online play in the mean time; it could be a longggggg wait after all.

A factory rest will not downgrade your ps3. Figured I'd answer your question

Yeah I'm not sure it just states in the agreement that it will downgrade So if anyone wants to try go right ahead. The worst that would happen lol I think is it will say it wont and quit.
