Afaik a decent debugger (for spu) has yet to be found, this sounds like good news. Glad to hear real news that affects future development. Thanks @cfwprpht for your time and skill

Don't ever expect an emulator for the PS3, lol.
And no... Just no, seems your focus is way wrong with the usage of this.
If I read it right, consider this something that allows one to walkthrough(debugging) through the SPU modules, for a far greater understanding of their mechanics :)

Instead of having a mysterious blackbox, which you give some input and sequently receive some output from, imagine you can open it op and see what happens when it receives it... From the computer of course :)


@mcmrc1 it was Landon in another thread :p I Couldn't help it and had to comment on it back then in that thread also :p It was just such an ignorant uninformed comment, when he could look at twitter at the exact same moment, and see the development of this being about to be released >_<

No its just something awesome for debugging purposes...

Because the only things that are released are for devs, not us end users. We cant do anything with this ourselves, it's to help devs understand the PS3. So it's just another "Oh that's nice" post to read :)
