Q:Need Support on How To Use The New Jfw Downgrader
 

i red that the downgrader is risky to use and could damage my ps3 but i red that in spanish i am not sure about the procedure

any one can give me any advice/english guide about that?many ps3hax member have helped in the past about this ,so i am asking there support again

Not sure if you know any Spanish but i think this FW is still Spanish only.

One other thing i am not sure about this FW. is when 3.55 brew is released. What steps are needed to port the homebrew to the JFW. I doubt it would be playable without some type of signing.. If that is the case i think the JFW needs to release some signing tools that way your not soley dependent on the JFW team to convert and sign.. If that is the case.. Im not sure how the FW works. may not need anything.. maybe BlackDeath can explain this as well.

I see.. Well good luck and i hope this is good news for you..

I do know you have to have the 1.3 service pack installed..

There is no need to do anything with sign, again MA is the only CFW that really support FSELF format so you don't really need a sign but you can keep using any homebrew 3.55 geohot or 3.41 JB on MA, there is 100% compatibility and with any keyset from any fw up to 3.56.

And sewershark in the past you say really bad things about me, just watch your words soon ;).

You just need to dump your NOR or NAND and later make just like a Downgrade with flasher patch the ROS of that dump with a 3.55 NO CHECK like Rogero V3 and check that you make correct all the changes (Be Really carefull because if you do this wrong you can brick your console and you will need a Flasher) then just set up the advance.cfg in order to restore a rflash dump (NOR or NAND) from "rflash.bin" and launch preloader3 or MAD like EGEA on MA or lv2diag...

is too dangerous if you don't know what are you doing...

i have a ps3 60gb ntsc jap nand can someone help with the 1 and 0 settings ?




2) will the Lv2diag.self included in the zip file be able to bring the ps3 in service mode ,make the dump and downgrade without the need of a dongle for the service mode part?

3) the guide did not mention a 3.55 pup,how can it downgrade without i pup in the usb drive?is this thing real ?

That may be right or wrong, not sure?. It was the source from a member submitted news @ psx.

You need to remember how you got into this situation. Not doing your research so don't jump the gun to quick if your not sure of anything.. Hate to see anyone get a brick.

i red the google translation of that page about 4-5 times

from my understanding ,first you got to set the advance.cfg to dump the the 3 flashes

then the cfg file should be something similar to this

the ? stand for i dont know what to choose


once done this step,you will find a Backuprflash.bin file in the usb drive and you will need to patch it in the same way that you would have patched it if you were working with a hardware flasher (i do not have any idea of what is that),again any help would be appreciated

Why did you even install JFW its stupid.

because somewhere on their website and other websites like ps3n*ws claimed that it had this downgrader since it was released 6moths ago or so . . and they claimed it could do other things as well (but didn't of course )so i just said to my self lets give it a shot ,i will return to 3.55 if i wont like it . . . surprise . . . the features listed were not accessible ,so No ps2 or ps1 support, No 3.56+games support and guess what? NO Downgrade either...


aren't the reasons listed above enough to justify those words ?
i want to precise also that i receive private messages and other negative reviews on topics about jfw . . . so it wont take a lot to understand and admit that its not only me saying those "bad things" and most likely not about you but about the actual state of the firmware itself

here is another quote that did not take long to show up even here that came on fast . . or at least faster than your ma downgrader i think ,didn't it? ;)

but again i would like to put an end to this and hope you or anyone could assist me on the downgrade , it would be in the interest of both , for you to have less people criticizing your and your team work and for me to have a fully working console . . .


i pasted the cfg file if anyone (including BlackDeath_DH) can edit it for me it would be great . . . this will be for the dumping part,as for the patching part i will work on it after i complete correctly the dumping part

there are other persons waiting for this downgrade so giving a hand here will help others as well . . .
