Where to start?

Hi all
I use to be around the psp scene for a long time but been away for a long time all these new cfw are confusing. I don't even know where to start haha

I currently have a psp slim with a TA-85 motherboard and am on firmware 5.50 gen D-2
I want to upgrade to a newer custom firmware but there's so many new ones I don't know where to start
I've been trying to read up on these firmwares but the information is scattered or incomplete

So which is the "best" firmware to upgrade for a permanent cfw
What are the differences between these cfw?

either 6.60 cfw will work, you'll most likely have to downgrade before you install, at least I did and I was on the same cfw

I'm running 6.60 ME and have zero problems with it and zero problems with PSN and it's permanent

well im on 5.5 prome-4 it can play any new game or latest game - PSN works
and i dont find any issue on it. i also got CWheat installed ;P

all you have to do is get 5.50 gen-D3 installed then install 5.50 Prometeus it takes less than 5 mins to finish all this.
