Newbie here, need help upgrading multiman 1.16 to 4.03.00
 

Hey guys, nice to meet you all, I'm quite new to ps3hax and d ps3 scene generally, I got a ps3 and had multiman already installed inside it v1.16 been checking the forums and I know it's obviously pretty outdated, I don't want to make any fatal errors that would brick the game but I downloaded d newer multiman, 4.03.00 I learnt I can play my Psp backups n ps2 n psx backups with it, the things is I don't knw if upgrading it straight from 1.16 is safe n what steps I have to follow to do it, n if I eventually do it, I don't know how I'd play my Psp backups n d rest of em, pls I need a detailed step by step guide on how I can do this, any help from u guys will be appreciated, thanks in advance guys ☺

delete the old version 1.16 and install the latest version 4.03.02
...for psp and ps2 games is required Cobra USB

Thanks dino05, is the "cobra USB" something I have to buy is it something I'd download, I'm totally new at this :(

if cant find 4.0.3 get highest v3 multiman like 3.90 you can or highest v4 mmcm and then use update features it is where the game system shut down icon is on xmb or v3 multiman you can updat eit via multiman itself

@blacc let me know if it works on yours because i cant get multiman to work at all.

it is a risk, when i updated my i couldn't get multiman to work.

@q-live I deleted the 1.16 and installed d 4.03.00 but that one didnt work, don't know why, luckily I downloaded a 2.09 base multiman, that one did work for me, just that some of my games don't work, games like socom4, need for speed undercover, battlefield 3, I Thot if I upgraded the multiman, those games would work, they all gave me black screens, there must be something I'm missing. :(

NEVER DELETE ANY OF YOUR MULTIMANS BECAUSE YOU WILL LOSE FEATURES FROM THE PREVIOUS VERSIONS UNLESS ITS CORRUPTED. BEST THING FOR YOU TO DO IS TO DELETE (YES I RECOMMEND THAT YOU ) YOUR CURRENT MULTIMAN REINSTALL 1.16.00. THEN GOOGLE FOR SEQUENTIAL MULTIMAN UPDATES MEANING 1.16.00-4.04.03 AND DOWNLOAD THEM EACH OF THEM IN ORDER UNTIL YOU REACH 4.04.03. NOTE: SOME OF THEM ARE HARD TO FIND SO DO BEST YOU CAN DO... AFTER THAT INSTALL THEM ... YOU WILL HAVE MORE FEATURES IN MULTIMAN. THEN READ THE CHANELOG EXPLAINING EVERYTHING ABOUT YOUR CURRENT AND PREVIOUS VERSIONS.

Thanks for the adivce. What kinda features would I be missing? In this 2.09 I have showtime in it n can play my backups, just figured out that those games I mentioned earlier weren't working cos I had not fixed d eboots :D so now I'm prowling for eboot fixes everywhere, I'm pretty content with just playing backups dats d major risn I have a ps3, unless dere r other awesome features I dnt know about :) are they any?
