PS3UserCheat Bug Reports And Hints
 

I started this thread so we can share our experiences with each other. Any issues such as blackscreens, and system freezes. Also added some little hints and tips.

Note- PS3UserCheat doesn't yet work on TB CFW or Cobra CFW

**I've gotten reports of God of War 3 freezing when try to use previous save game so we need to create a new save for use with the cheats.

A great suggestion for the above issue from @benzinjiq You can always use the bdRESET tool and it works, no need for reboot to change the game.

**Convert your Game ID- Thanks to @benzinjiq

To change the title ID you simply need to load the PARAM.SFO in PS3SFOEDIT and modify it with another title ID. For example EUR title ID for God of War 3 is BCES00510. I've tried it with other games and it is working, but you have to use only real title ID for the game (EUR, US etc.). I have NOT tested if it works with PS3UserCheat! And I cannot confirm that it works with ALL the games, exept those that I've tested.

For example in GOW3 (BCUS98111) you don't have the choice to change in-game language for the subtitles, or audio. But when you change the title ID to BCES00510 (EUR ver.) the menu appears in the options.

Don't forget to make backups of your files before you modify them!

**Game Dismount Issue- @HulkWogan "sometimes you choose your cheats and press start only to find the xmb has taken the game selected in multiman and replaced it with the original disc in the drive, a slight inconvenience."

Well, sometimes the CU dismounts the game i've selected on MM, and because of this I have to do the process again.

When this occurs, I do the following steps:

-Select the game on MM
-Open Code Unique and press Triangle to exit
-After that, the game dismounts, so I have to select the game again on MM
-Open Code Unique again and this time, select the game on the list and the cheats and press Start to go back to XMB
-In this time, the game doesn't dismount and all I have to do is run the game on BD icon or "app_home/PS3_GAME".

I'm using Rebug 3.55.2 update 0.7 and multiMAN 04.03.03

**Screenshots- @benzinjiq "To take screenshot, just load the game with multiMAN or other manager, and then, before starting the game, start CU (ps3usercheat) and press "triangle" to exit. After this just play the game like usual and pres the PS button during gameplay. Navigate to PHOTOS and you'll see "take screenshot"! It works for me, this way."

Is that because of homebrew not working on TB incase it uses peek/poke and discover TB secrets?

That is a good theory it makes sense to me. I hope someone cracks TB I'm tired of having to change firmware, but that is price I have to pay. Just QA Flagged my machine so I can use System Update Debug to make it a little easier.

Any blackscreens I have recieved were due to incompatible updates-

I can confirm..

Enslaved- Pal
Dead space 2- Pal

Both can use cheats without creating new saves.

Forgot to say - you could simply rename the title ID with notepad, but I don't recommend you to use this method. Just use PS3SFOEdit it is very easy and simple program to use!
