A program to record .mkv files onto a DVD so it can play on the PS3?
 

As I state in the thread title, I want to know if you know any program that can burn .mkv files onto a DVD+R DL in a way that it can play on the PS3.

ConvertXtoDVD 4 is a premium program, but very good, it converts all types of video files to DVD :)

there are converters out there.
mkv is simply a container so you could maybe try "convertxtodvd" and instruct it to use the whole disc

EZmkvDTStoAC3 (only if mkv contains dts) > MKV extract > MP4 box > profit.

I used to use mkv2vob back in the day. It will re-wrap very quickly if no audio to convert. Built for PS3.

Perhaps this is a better solution, unless you really want to use physical media.

Just burn the mkv files on the media and use showtime with the Showtime Disc Access "Plugin".. put the DVD in your PS3 and just watch the mkv :-)

Or even better: Use PS3mediaserver to stream the mkv to your PS3.. need a good fast PC for stable stream without av-sync-lost...

or spend a little bit money for a hardware flasher to safely downgrade to CFW :-)

you can say "thank you" to the dongle-groups who smells the dollars...
without this there where a 4.21 CFW with TB-payload or something similar....
