[TUT] Convert 3.60 Games/Patches to 3.55
 

Download this, it contains all the tools need.

Download and unrar to a folder.

The only addition is http://store.brewology.com/updates.php?lang= where you can download the patches you want...

Also, use sfoedit to change the param.sfo to 3.55/3.41 instead of 3.60


I´ll use Dirt 3 (BLES01287) in this example.

Get the EP4001-BLES01287_00-DIRT3PATCHEU0101-A0101-V0100-PE.pkg patch (from brewology) and start Pkgview 1.3.

Drag and drop the Dirt3 pkg patch in the left window, right click in it, and "extract to source directory"

Cut the eboot.bin from the "PkgView_1.3\EP4001-BLES01287_00-DIRT3PATCHEU0101-A0101-V0100-PE\BLES01287\USRDIR" and paste it in the SCETOOL folder.

In the SCETool folder hold down the shift button+right click in the window and choose "open cmd window"

Write "ebootfix EP4001-BLES01287_00-DIRT3PATCHEU0101" and it starts decrypting the file.

Take the EBOOT.bin (not ORGINAL_EBOOT.bin) and copy it back to the USRDIR folder you first got it.

Now cut the BLES01287 folder and paste it in the psn_package_npdrm folder.
(package.conf in here needs to change package version from 1.04 to 1.01 but the rest is already setup for DIRT3)

Again, open a cmd window (shift+right click) and write "psn_package_npdrm.exe package.conf BLES01287"

Wait untill finished, install the new pkg and play Dirt 3

Guide works for all 3.60 games/patches (WITHOUT selfs & sprx files These are ten times harder to decrypt and fix up to a proper retail level...)

I have included ebootfix aswell, many tutorials on how to use this program out, so wont mention it more then the following:

If you get psn_package_npdrm has stopped working when using ebootfix it is because it can not handle npdrm files.
Try and see if there is a 3.60 patch for the game you want to fix and use the method described in the first post to make it!

the skyrim updates i found, where al over the internet http://store.brewology.com/updates.php?letters=stu shows one i found 5

Probably better to wait for a new 3.55 cfw, or is possible a 3.60 cfw.

What did i do wrong?

The games will still work when a possible new 3.55 cfw comes out.

But all it takes, to start playing these 3.60 games, are a few minutes right now, so why wait...?

@jaydee im trying to get MW3 update 1.02 working but I have the error above, do you know what I did wrong?

Also how to fix sprxs?

You are trying to create the pkg without the rest of the files....

psn_package_npdrm folder should contain the files it came with + the BLES01287 (or whatever game you use) folder

The BLES01287 (or whatever game it is) folder should contain ICON0.png, PARAM.SFO, PS3LOGO.DAT and USRDIR (that should have all it´s files in it...)

EDIT: Tested with UP0002-BLUS30838_00-MW3P000000000010-A0102-V0100-PE.pkg and decrypted and packaged fine.

I havent bothered checking (sorry) if something needs to be done to the default.self also.

yep done it :) figured that out after I asked : DERP :)

do I need to mod the selfs do you know>??

there is a default.self and a defaultMP.self

EDIT also param.sfo needs editing? I installed it and it still asks for 3.60 update on MW3
