ps3 ofw 3.72
 

hey guyz my ps3 is on ofw 3.72... so i was thinking should i update to ofw 4.21
or will there be a solution soon... and i do not want to downgrade(hardware)...???

No one can say for sure. If you upgrade to 4.21 today, they could come out with something tomorrow. Highly unlikely, but still there is always a possibility. People who updated past 3.55 have been waiting a long time. If I was you I would update, so you can at least play the newer games and play online, since staying on 3.72 isn't doing you any good. If you ever regretted it, you could always hardware downgrade, assuming your ps3 came with 3.55

As I said, highly unlikely. They would need keys for 3.72 and then they would have to develop a new cfw, which would take some time. People would have heard about such events.

You can't think this way, especially not in this scene...

If you're able to downgrade from 3.72 to 3.55 then I'd do it as I can't see a software downgrade available for your firmware right now and definetly not tomorrow...

And most likely if a soft downgrade comes it will work on 4.21 also.

Instead of sitting on 3.72, I would update to 4.21 and enjoy some online gaming.

Well the 3.60 keys released apparently wont lead to a cfw 3.60, so it's only the game keys people can use.

We expect a new 3.55 cfw to be released soon which will have 3.60 keys on it so people wont have to patch game eboots.

Also rumour that 3.70 keys will be released next month. But again this wont lead to a 3.70 cfw, just another modified 3.55 cfw.

You can still downgrade from 4.21 to 3.55, but of course you need to buy a downgrader/flasher to do it.
