UPDATE : Console Shuts OFF after removing IHS
 

Hi,

When, I switch on my ps3 slim, nothing comes to the tv. So I did a reset by holding the power button for ( 6 sec's ), but it didn't work

I did try to enter the FSM,but nothing shows up on TV, the one thing I noticed is that whenever I switch on the console, the fan fires up ( it rotates at its max speed )

So, I replaced the thermal compund with Arctic Cooling MX-4, the result still is same.

Please HELP

UPDATE 2 : Re-flowed the both RSX and Cell B/E Chips( Without removing the heat spreader ), Results are the same, fan fires up and RLOD.

Tried alternate set of cables?

If not the RSX sounds cooked :(

Yep, done that . Same ( even tried with HDMI Cable )

Are you sure ?

Have you tried boot into recovery?

Yep, Nothing

Do any lights flash or change colour at start up? does it beep a number of times?

No, no lights flashing

Then I think it might be the graphics are kaput.

Sounds like the fans are kicking in high! I would say its over heated and the RSX is busted :(
