[Solved] Dex 4.20 being kicked back to the XMB after some minutes of the game
 

Hi my friends .
I installed successfully Dex 4.20 , Changed debug sittings like the tutorial , Release mode & BDE USB & HDD native .

but when I was in the middle of games , I suddenly being kicked back to the XMB after some minutes , I tested with some games & the problem is still happened .

Can somebody please help me ?
Is it about Dex 4.20 or my 1TB external HDD seagate?

First thing that came into my head: Does your USB HDD power down/sleepmode?

No , it doesn't my friend ,
I played PES 2012 without being kicked out to XMB (for 1 hour of my test),
but for GOW 3 & LBP2 it happened (45 minutes of gameplay).

Does the problem arise with every game you tried? (could be a rip/backup problem)
If not, which games has the problem.
Also, did you increase the number of partitions or are you using the basic 4 partitions?

I'm also running DEX 4.20 and I haven't notice the problem.

Edit:
Hmmm I know that people used to remove files (languages) for GoW3 to save space, maybe that might be causing it (dunno if it's a rip from your original or not).
If GoW 3 is complete it could also could be due to the size (around 50 GB if I'm correct) since the tutorials are for 25 GB (or did you change that when you created it in ps3gen?)
Dunno what the size for LBP2 is :)

GOW3 and LBP2 are 20+gb each right? PES is 8.5GB?

Any correlation?

EDIT LBP2 is 18gb zipped.. cant remember the actual size....

It doesn't happen with PES2012 ,
but it happened for GOW3 & LBP2 . I am sure the games are ok becuase the problem happened on different spots , not just a spot .

I am using 4 partion , & have only GOW3 in that.

GOW 3 is 39.9 & LBP2 is 18 GB . I downloaded them from net . I am sure these are ok .

My external HDD has an external adapter.

But when you were created it in ps3gen, did you set it to 50 GB Dual layer BR?

sounds like spindown problem to me, makes no difference is PES2012 works fine. PES will be constantly streaming data due to commentary so no spindown.

So you have my problem too ? Do you think it's about my HDD that has no adaptor ? also Is your HDD has an adaptor or not ?
